Very nice spot for a quick snack.
Self-serve bakery with low prices and high quality food. They also have great coffee and a good selection of borek, which makes for an excellent lunch.
Launched in 1998 Bake Me Up has a few locations around Oslo plus a centrally situated store in Kristiansand, early hours finding many items warm including mix-and-match minis sold 10 for NOK 65. Reportedly handmade and cheaper than competitors guests are invited to select everything from traditional Norwegian Christmas Balls to Macarons, Viennoserie and Berliners filled with Chocolate or Berries. Hit and miss throughout, the Muffin frankly dry and a Pastel de Nata over-baked, fans of a sweeter Almond Croissant will be happy with Bake Me Up’s braided version while purists will find both Pain au Chocolat and Kanelboller well-crafted considering their small size and low price.
The baked-up sweets were not my thing. But fresh (still warm) sourdough bread on a Sunday morning, together with the excellent coffee, made it for me.
Excellent self serve option. Fresh and good quality bakery food.
A modern and great concept for a bakery! They have many little pieces of baked bread in different styles and flavors, all fresh from the oven. There are pretty much options to choose from, also vegetarian. Just pick a bag and pick the ones you like! For the ones who would like to grab a bite, like us, there are three benches right outside on the street.
Really cool consept, and a lot of variety of what you could buy. So if you want something sweet or something more warm food they have it. Also liked that theh had smaller sizes!
Very tasty delicious Boreks. I don't know what they are called in English. The rolls have either spinach, mexican meat, or chicken. Very delicious
